Bangladesh fast bowler Shahadat Hossain has returned to competitive cricket after being banned for 18 months after the Cricket Board granted him a request to reduce his initial five-year ban.

Shahadat was banned for five years in November 2019 after he applied to the BCB in February after slapping a teammate in a first-class match so that he could resume his career and take care of the expenses associated with it.

Shahad Hossain had applied to BCB for treatment of mother’s cancer.
